The CristalO platform is divided into two parts: crystallogenesis and crystallography. It provides the necessary infrastructure and support to facilitate researcher on macromolecules crystallography. We provide facilities and support for crystallization, crystal growth-monitoring/imaging system, X-ray diffraction data collection and process for any macromolecule of interest.

Description
It is within the Crystallization department that the formation of crystals from a soluble protein is achieved. The identification of the crystallization conditions is carried out automatically by a crystallization robot. Then comes a manual step of reproduction and optimization of the crystals.

It is within the Cristallographic department that the crystals are studied by X-ray diffraction. The data are then collected and processed which allows the determination of the 3D structure and its refinement.
The Roscoff Marine Station is a research and teaching centre for marine biology and ecology. It depends on the CNRS and Sorbonne University.
