Iodysseus Sailboat
Description
Type of entity Equipment
Description Trimaran of 50 feet equiped for oceanography; missions in Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Oceanographic racing sailboats, specialized in the collection of marine aerosols (flying plankton). We are organizing and participating in scientific mediation with the general public.
Collecting marine microorganisms from surface water and from marine aerosols and keeping them alive and deliver them to laboratories (basic science or biotechnology). Our sailing boat can also be used for acoustic missions or for studying the biodiversity of macro-fauna.
The Iodysséus team is flexible and multidisciplinary, services and scientific protocols are adaptable. Deployment and retrieval of oceanographic tools. We offer to embark 1 or 2 scientists from your team for some offshore expeditions.

Proposed Service Collection of biological samples
Description of the service Aquatic samples: water samples, fixed in alcohol or kept alive until return to shore (several mesh sizes available). Aerial samples: micro-organisms from marine aerosols aspirated by Impinger or else capture with a suction system and conservation of micro-organisms on MCE membranes (different heights of capture possible).

Endowment fund of general interest in the specific field of offshore racing: "Race for Science". He developed and implemented the Iodysséus program for the capture of aerosol plankton.
Iodysséus aims to develop any action of general interest such as:
- active collaboration with any scientific device for the study of the Ocean;
- popularization of knowledge about the Ocean and its future potential in the economy, technology, health, energy, climate, etc.
* conferences, publications, sporting events around the preservation of marine environments
